Swedish Ivy grows best in mixed plantings where it has room to "hang out" and in raised planters or hanging baskets. They can be grown in landscape settings as they are deer resistant.

Dark green foliage that trails well in planters or hanging baskets. Can grow as large as you let it, or as the growing season allows. Does well in mixed plantings and landscape settings. Be sure to plant on the edge of your planter or basket as they love to hang over edges.

The Zahara double Zinnia has all-season performance and durability in landscapes and containers, especially in sunny, hot and dry conditions. Intermediate size is perfect for mid-level plantings in flower beds, works well in containers, too.

Unlike regular pansies, the Coolwave series trails and spreads rather than staying compact. They lay relatively low but still love the sun and can handle a small amount of frost.

Fibrous (or wax) begonias are compact and don't mind a bit of shade. Classic and beautiful they are available in different leaf and flower colours, giving them added diversity and helping them look good in even more settings.

TIP: The Bada Boom variety (brown leafed plants) can handle more sun than the green, though both like part shade the best.

Also known as moss roses, Portulaca is a compact, tropical looking plant with succulent stems and colourful flowers. They are very tolerant to dry conditions and look great in mixed planters.

Sturdy and small, Ageratum has small mounds of compact blue flowers and dark green foliage. Be sure they get adequate sun exposure as they're low lying they can be easily shaded by larger plants.

Dianthus grows bushy and fills your garden with colour and thick foliage. This dwarf, low-growing plant matures to 8" tall and produces many large, single, lacy flowers.

6Small mounded plants with green foliage and bright multicoloured flowers make Violas a van der Meer favorite for bedding plants. They do great in pots and planters due to their small size.

Calibrachoa is a hybrid of the Petunia and has smaller flowers with more compact trailing traits. Grows best when it is given room to cascade and spread such as on the edges of raised planters and hanging baskets.

For best growth results place in direct sunlight and keep soil moist, but be cautious not to overwater as it is susceptible to root rot.
