Tomato Food 5-10-5 with added granular kelp and calcium, an important nutrient required by tomatoes to aid in photosynthesis, enhance fruit firmness and reduce blossom-end rot.

Blossom End Rot is a common problem with tomatoes. Calcium is a key factor along with keeping the soil moist. If your tomatoes are consistently dry they cannot properly absorb much needed calcium. Use this guide: If the soil below your tomato plant is dry within an inch of the surface your tomatoes need to be watered.

Prairie smoke (Geum triflorum) adds interest to a garden bed from early spring through to fall. This perennial is native to North American prairies. It gets its name from the long, wispy, feather-like achenes (seed heads) that develop during the summer. With their pinkish shades, they create an impression of puffs of smoke remaining on the plant for several weeks. The small, pink, bud-like flowers may not be as impressive as the achenes, but they still add a splash of color to the garden in the spring. And during the fall, the foliage takes on purplish, reddish, and orange hues and then turns to a burgundy shade during winter. 

Ghost Chili seeds are also known as the Bhut Jalokia. At over one million Scoville Heat Units, the Ghost Chili is one of the world's hottest peppers. This pepper is so hot, in fact, that it should be treated with caution. We encourage very careful handling of the seeds and fruits. Use gloves when handling the fruits and be extremely careful not to bring the peppers or their residue in contact with eyes or mucous membranes. The pepper is said to be 400 times hotter than Tabasco Sauce, and easily three times hotter than our sweat inducing Red Habanero. This is a slow growing plant that produces fruits at the end of the growing season. If it can be kept going over winter, it can be grown as a perennial, producing much larger yields in the second year of growth. 1,000,000+ SHUs

Super-hot peppers are tricky to grow. The seeds are difficult to germinate under home growing conditions and they need a long, hot season to produce fruit. To mature in most regions, protection is needed to increase heat and lengthen the growing season.

Picea pungens ‘Globosa’ is a very well-known dwarf Colorado Blue Spruce, it has an upright, broad form and silvery blue needles that make it virtually indistinguishable from P.p. ‘Montgomery’. The slow-growing, dwarf plant is globe-shaped when young, but will eventually form a leader as it matures and develop an upright, broad shape that is wider than tall. To maintain a globosa or spreading habit, prune out upright or vigorous shoots.

A monstrous back ground plant, this plant has a spectacular flower with large, cream coloured plumes the size of your head! Elegant lacy leaves form a very dense and bushy clump. This plant demands space, and is somewhat inclined to sulk in hot summer areas, so plant in a moist, peaty soil, or even at the waterside. Cut plants back in summer if they look untidy.

An excellent companion to summer-blooming shrub roses. Good for cutting, the flowers may also be dried by hanging upside down in a warm, dark room.

Golden Barrel Cactus (Echinocactus grusonii) is a striking and hardy indoor plant, characterized by its spherical shape, ribbed structure, and vibrant golden-yellow spines.

Light Requirement: Golden Barrel Cactus thrives in bright, direct sunlight. It requires at least 4 to 6 hours of direct sunlight daily to maintain its vibrant color and healthy growth.

Little Miss Sunshine is a dwarf goldenrod. This bright golden yellow bloomer makes an excellent border plant in a sunny area, as its spread is wider than it's height you can expect a dense mini hedge.

This is one of several Hybrid Goldenrods that have been developed as commercial cut flowers in Europe. Plants form a bushy upright mound of deep-green leaves, bearing large heads of golden-yellow flowers in late summer. Stems are strong and should not need staking. This is a well-behaved garden plant, worthy of growing in any sunny border. Flowers do not cause allergies. Moist soil will help to prevent powdery mildew. Clumps may be easily divided in early spring. Attractive to butterflies.

Goldfish Plant (Nematanthus gregarius) is an attractive and unique indoor plant, known for its glossy, dark green leaves and bright orange, tubular flowers that resemble goldfish, adding a whimsical touch to any space.

Light Requirement: Goldfish Plant thrives in bright, indirect light. It benefits from plenty of light to encourage blooming but should be protected from direct sunlight to prevent leaf scorch.

Watering Requirement: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry. Goldfish Plant enjoys a humid environment, so regular misting or the use of a humidity tray is beneficial.

Mature Height: Goldfish Plant has a trailing or arching growth habit, making it perfect for hanging baskets or elevated planters where its cascading foliage and flowers can be displayed.

Regularly used as a ground cover, it makes a great choice for areas of your garden where other plants do not succeed. Flower stems can be removed to keep the patch kept clean, as well as to prevent self-seeding.
