The 'Blue Carpet' is a very popular rock garden plants as they form a low cushion of green leaves, that get smothered by flowers for several weeks. This variety blooms with various shades of rich blue and violet, over grey-green leaves.

To encourage a thick mounding habit, plants should be trimmed lightly immediately after blooming. Excellent choice for a rock garden in sun or part shade, growing over rock walls, or in alpine troughs and other containers.

T. serpyllum. Creeping thyme is an ornamental. From a tiny clump of little seedlings comes a spreading mat of scented foliage covered with pink flowers. Plant Creeping Thyme seeds for excellent coverage and easy use in rock gardens. This is a mat forming herb that grows to maximum heights of 15cm (6") and red blooms May to August. Grow in full sun, in well drained soil, with moderate to low water. Use in rock or herb gardens, as an edging along paths or as a ground cover.

Firedance^™ Dogwood is more compact than the species and has a more uniform habit. White flowers in spring are followed by pretty white berries that are attractive to birds. Textured and bright foliage, the plants form a mound of rounded, velvety soft olive-green leaves, which catch and hold water drops and sparkle in the sun. Makes for good edging shrub and sprays of chartreuse flowers are a nice filler for cut arrangements. An easy-care perennial.
