Wilt-Pruf® is a non-hazardous, organic and biodegradable anti-transpirant spray that safely reduces moisture loss through the foliage when plants are under water stress. It creates a clear, safe and long-lasting coating that protects trees and plants against the cold drying winds of winter and hot drying winds of summer. It is also used to protect tender transplants while their root systems are developing and to extend the lives of Christmas trees and wreaths.

Wilt-Pruf® is a natural pine oil emulsion that is NON-HAZARDOUS, ORGANIC, AND BIODEGRADABLE. It is not damaged by freezing during storage, it has an indefinite shelf life, and is non-toxic to eyes and skin. Wilt-Pruf® spray dries to form a clear transparent and flexible protective coating without interfering with plant growth or materially affecting respiration, osmosis, or photosynthesis.

Ultraviolet rays from outdoor daylight react with our film forming polymer to form a coating which is like having numerous bed sheets on a bed. When the top sheet is removed, there are still many more sheets left. The same phenomenon is true with Wilt-Pruf®. As the outside layer wears off with the sun, wind, and rain and powders away, another layer forms. This process continues until all the layers have worn off which takes three or four months and sometimes longer depending on climatic conditions.

Wilt-Pruf® is the only horticulture anti-transpirant that has the ability to provide this long-lasting protection. Other anti- transpirants provide a single coating only, and when that coating cracks and falls off or wears off with the weather (perhaps as soon as two or three weeks) there is no protection left.

For summer protection, dilute with 1 part concentrate to 10 parts of water. A part may be any measured quantity. For winter protection, dilute with 1 part concentrate to 5 parts of water. For bulb storage protection, dip or spray to run-off at a dilution rate of 1 part concentrate to 10 parts of water and allow to dry in daylight.

These wonderful large beans mature in 75-85 days when sown in the spring, or 6 months if fall sown. The plants grow 90-120cm (3-4') tall. The light green pods, which contain 6-7 large pale green seeds each, shell easily. Windsor broad bean seeds are superb for family gardens and easy for small children to handle. Broad Windsor is intended for growing as a food crop. The seeds it produces are large and succulent, unlike the small-seeded fava we offer as a cover crop. This large variety will fix nitrogen in your soil, so it’s perfect for planting in the fall, harvesting in the spring, and following with nitrogen loving crops like Brassicas, lettuce, or spinach. Fresh or dried, broad beans must be cooked before eating in order to rid them of potentially toxic alkaloids. The young, tender leaves can be eaten raw, or cooked like spinach. Broad beans are one of the world’s most ancient and widespread food crops.

Thymus vulgaris. This woody little evergreen plant spreads steadily over the years and has pretty pink flowers which bees love. Winter Thyme plants grow to a height of 30cm (12"). Wonderful in Mediterranean cuisine, teas, potpourri and a key ingredient of bouquet garni. Thyme dries well, too - cut sprigs and tie them with thread for hanging out of direct sunlight. They remove the brittle leaves from the stalks and store them in a cool, dry, unlit place. Plants do well in containers, and they're drought tolerant, so consider them for xeriscaping. Cut thyme back by a third at the end of the season to encourage lots of spring growth and flower set.

A vigorous climber for large walls, fences etc. and can be trained into a small weeping standard. Blue moon is the hardiest of all the wisterias. The lilac-blue fragrant flowers bloom up to 3 times during the season. To keep Wisteria in check, it can be pruned in late summer or early fall.

Unique corkscrew-shaped peppers with sweet flavour and mild heat. Witch Stick’s extra-long, 20cm (8”) fruit start green and mature to a deep cherry red. The heat in these thin-walled peppers is in the small seed cluster right at the stem and is easy to remove. These plants are productive in the field, raised bed, or 5-gallon container. The novelty of the twisted fruits makes them fun to grow even as ornamentals. 100-2,500 SHUs
