Karl Rosenfeld is bright crimson, 16-18 cm flowers appear in mid to late spring. Garden visitors, as well as butterflies and hummingbirds, will love the fragrant, fully double blooms. The glossy, green foliage is very ornamental and provides a colour show in the spring when new growth is copper-burgundy and when the leaves turn soft yellow in the fall.

Developed in 1906, this pink peony is still a favorite. Double flowers of soft seashell pink with petals edged a trifle lighter with a few crimson flecks.

Caring for Peonies:

May/June: Keep your peony watered if there is little rainfall. Use compost or aged manure to your soil. If your peony is newly planted it can take up to two seasons for it to get its first bloom. Be patient, it's worth it.
Late June: Blooming season, like many garden plants you will need to deadhead peony flowers often. 
Summer: Herbaceous Peonies do best with an inch of water per week if they are newly planted. If they are established they can handle a drought season more than newly planted roots. Enjoy green peony bush once blooms are gone.
Fall: Cut stems of Herbaceous Peonies back to soil level and remove from the area.  If you have new plantings mulch.

Duchesse de Nemours is a clear white peony. It’s one of the oldest varieties. It was  bred more than 150 years ago and enjoys enduring popularity.

'Dinner Plate' boasts massive, fully-double flowers that reach an impressive diameter of up to 10 inches. The soft-pink petals with hints of salmon create a striking contrast against the lush, dark-green foliage on 40-inch stems. This variety is fragrant, disease-resistant, and robust, earning it the prestigious "Best in Show" award from the American Peony Society. It blooms late in the season.

Henry Brockstone was bred in 1955, this garden stunner is not only fragrant but features huge, fully double blooms in the most perfect shade of deep red. One of our favourites, a must add addition to every garden!

The Flame Peony lives up to its name as a profuse bloomer with fiery crimson-red flowers, accented by hints of deep coral. Its large, single blooming blossoms are cup-shaped, with wide petals surrounding a center of golden-yellow stamens. This hybrid peony features dark green foliage on sturdy stems.

Coral Sunset has a unique shade of coral-pink and large, semi-double blooms, Coral Sunset stuns all who gaze upon its midseason splendour. The long-lived plant thrives in well-drained, fertile soil and a sun to part-shade site. The gently aromatic flowers grow to 14 cm wide, and make lovely additions to bouquets and borders.

Give each peony plant enough space to grow to maturity without being crowded. That means a 3- to 4-foot diameter for each plant. Choose a location that is sheltered from strong winds. The large heavy blooms of this plant can cause the stems to flop over during heavy rain and inclement weather. Your peonies will benefit from some type of support staking. Plant them well away from other trees and shrubs, since they don't like to compete for nutrients and water.

Peonies like a good chill in the winter. In order to set their flower buds, peony roots should be planted relatively close to the soil surface—only about 2-to 3-inches deep.

This upright, sparsely branched, woody shrub reaches 3 to 5 feet tall. It is low maintenance but slow-growing. Displaying dark green leaves that are blue-green beneath, and large, silken blossoms 6 to 8'' across. 

The plants maintain a graceful branching structure throughout the winter if kept inside and maintained.
