Selected for its resilience to harsh winter conditions, the sturdy, compact Picea glauca ‘North Star’ produces a densely branched, classic pyramid that is covered with medium green needles. Its moderate growth rate and ultimate, intermediate size, together with superior hardiness make this introduction from Iseli Nursery ideal for use in larger, more exposed spaces, mixed borders and beds.

Acer x pseudosieboldianum Ice Dragon^® is a welcome addition to the Jack Frost^® collection of hardy garden maples from Iseli Nursery. This all-season tree has a cascading habit and was bred and selected to tolerate Zone 4 winters while still retaining the refined qualities of the less hardy Japanese maples. Spring begins as leaves unfurl blushed orange-red, quickly maturing to green. In summer, the finely divided, delicate appearing green leaves are durable and tolerant of sun and heat. Autumn brings foliage of a kaleidoscope of yellow, orange and red. After leaf drop, the sinuous and undulating branching structure is a visual treat during the long cold winter months.

Lotus Moon^™ Pearlbush is a profuse spring bloomer that is covered in white round flower buds resembling a string of pearls. The buds open to clear white blooms that completely cover the plant in April and May, attracting early butterflies. Flowers are borne on previous year’s growth so prune right after flowering. Bold, bright, and beautiful: that's Winecraft Gold^™ smokebush. Round, waxy leaves emerge a sunny orange, soon take on a golden hue, then mature to a cheerful chartreuse for the season. In early summer, cloud-like green flower clusters cover the plant, and these turn into the pink "smoke" plumes that earn the plant its name. Sharply toothed edges on the strongly upright foliage of Sedum T-Rex add to its ‘monstrous’ appeal. Clusters of cream buds open to enormous rose pink flower clusters – very appealing; not at all scary! Great for a hot, sunny site. Stonecrop provides beautiful low care summer and fall color. Let dried flower heads remain to provide nice winter interest. Sedum store water in their thick, succulent leaves which enables them to be extremely drought tolerant.

Coral Sunset has a unique shade of coral-pink and large, semi-double blooms, Coral Sunset stuns all who gaze upon its midseason splendour. The long-lived plant thrives in well-drained, fertile soil and a sun to part-shade site. The gently aromatic flowers grow to 14 cm wide, and make lovely additions to bouquets and borders.

Francis Rivis displays deep blue tepals with white staminodes. Alpinas perform well in light conditions ranging from bright shade to hot sun. Sometimes called Elephant Ears, this is a bold specimen perennial that needs a moist location. Plants form a clump of large, jagged-edged green leaves. Purplish black stems rise above in summer, bearing long spikes of bright-yellow daisy flowers. Superb for the back of the border, or at the waterside. An unusual centerpiece for a tub or large container. Both the flowers and leaves are great for cutting.

This iris, recently found at a breeder's nursery in the Netherlands, is truly unique and presents a color combination that is unexpected when Siberian iris bloom.
