Unit price perChippewa has large dark blue fruit that ripens a week earlier than cultivar Northblue. Blueberries require an acidic soil with pH in the range of 4.5 to 5.5 for best results. Prairie soils can be amended with peat to lower pH, but poorly drained soils should be avoids. pollinating however planting multiple cultivars often result in larger berries and better yields.
