The Monstera Deliciosa, often referred to as the Split Leaf Philodendron, is an iconic and visually stunning indoor plant featuring large, glossy, split leaves that give it a distinctive and tropical appearance.
Light Requirement: Thriving in bright, indirect light, place the Monstera Deliciosa in a location with filtered sunlight or partial shade. It can tolerate lower light conditions but benefits from exposure to moderate to bright light for optimal leaf development.
Watering Requirement: Allow the top inch of the soil to dry out between waterings, and water thoroughly. The Monstera Deliciosa prefers slightly moist but well-draining soil. Be cautious not to overwater to prevent root rot.
Mature Height: With a climbing or trailing growth habit, the Monstera Deliciosa can reach varying heights, often growing up to 6 to 10 feet (180 to 300 cm) indoors. Regular pruning and providing adequate support can help manage its size and shape.
Thai Constellation (Monstera deliciosa 'Thai Constellation') is a stunning and rare indoor plant, known for its large, fenestrated leaves with striking variegation patterns of creamy white and green, resembling a constellation of stars.
Light Requirement: Thai Constellation thrives in bright, indirect light. It needs ample light to maintain its variegation, but direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent leaf burn.
Watering Requirement: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry. Thai Constellation enjoys a humid environment, so regular misting or the use of a humidity tray is beneficial.
Mature Height: Under optimal conditions, Thai Constellation can reach 6 to 10 feet (180 to 300 cm) in height. Its climbing nature and impressive foliage make it a striking statement piece in any indoor plant collection.
Stunning the garden, these snowy white mallows make excellent cut flowers. Gleaming white, massive 10cm (4") wide flowers glow in the moonlight. Aptly named Mont Blanc for its profuse blooms on a compact plant growing up to 90cm (36") tall earns this fast growing annual a place in the flower bed, front and centre.
Pinus mugo ‘Mops’ is an excellent dwarf selection that grows into a low, dense dome remaining compact without shearing. The mounding plant has a smooth appearance that comes from many evenly spaced needles growing at a uniform rate on abundant branchlets. During most of the year, ‘Mops’ displays a hint of gray/blue in its green, but during the crisp, cold months of winter, needles take on a warm, golden hue. It’s no wonder this choice is one of our most popular for confined spaces.
