The Panorama Mix is a herb perennial and brings a citrusy fragrance with brilliant blooms in a mix of colours.  Blooms will flower second year and spread quickly.

Winter is the season when Pinus mugo ‘Laarheide’ literally shines in the garden. Throughout the growing season it maintains as a low-key garden element with its medium green needles. As winter approaches, the needles turn color and become an outstanding luminous yellow that brings the winter garden to life. Growing wider than tall, ‘Laarheide’ provides a colorful addition to harsh winter climates.

A great fit for the smaller landscape, Pinus strobus ‘Mini Twists’ with its small twisted and curvy needles will create an unusual texture in the garden. A much smaller, dwarf version of the large growing P.s. ‘Contorta’, ‘Mini Twists’ responds well to annual candle pruning which will encourage an even more compact, full-foliaged small tree.

For longer needles, a more natural, open look and a consistent habit, the versatile Pinus mugo ‘Palouse’ is perfect for a casual landscape where a larger Mugo Pine is warranted. The robust green selection grows into a bushy, rounded mound, or with annual candle pruning, it can be kept smaller and more refined. A reliable and hardy addition to the sunny mixed border, it also works well as a divider or to fill a corner.

Pinus mugo ‘Palouse’

Arriving early May

One of the most common native ferns, growing all over northern regions. Plants form a large, upright clump of big green fronds. In spring the unfurling fiddleheads are often harvested in the wild as a gourmet treat. Roots are spreading, and plants can form quite a large patch in time. Requires plenty of water through the summer, otherwise the foliage may become dormant. Cinnamon-brown fertile fronds push up from the centre of each clump in summer, and these remain attractive all winter long. Prune off dead foliage and fertile fronds in late winter. Deciduous.
