Japi

Rudbeckia hirta. At 30–100 cm (12–39") tall, this North American native annual wildflower is immediately familiar, and conjures a sense of the heat of mid-summer. Dark brown cone centres are surrounded by pure yellow petals in flowers 5-8cm (2-3") across. Black Eyed Susan is a common name shared by many plants, but this is the annual that is native to the northeastern United States. Considered a short lived perennial, or biennial as seed will easily germinate by direct seeding. 

Rainbow Candy Crush is an edible kale that is highly ornamental. The large plant has an upright growing habit and leaves are plentiful, forming a bushy appearance at maturity.

7' tall Cedar Spiral

Pinus sylvestris ‘Bonna’

Boldly textured, medium length needles make the sturdy, upright, multi-stemmed Pinus mugo
‘Big Tuna’ a favorite for areas in the landscape with a little more room. The slow-growing trees become taller than wide and quite bushy. Pinus mugo Iseli® ‘Big Tuna’

Pinus koraiensis ‘Blue Ball’ is a dwarf selection of Korean Pine with blue green needles that emphasize the blue. Short stiff branches and long needles form a globe shaped plant that has a bit of irregularity to it. Hardy and adaptable, with minimal disease or insect problems, ‘Blue Ball’ has great potential for a variety of settings.

Larix gmelinii ‘Romberg Park’ is a superb dwarf, deciduous conifer that will develop tufts of short branches giving it appeal in all seasons. In early spring, it is one of the first to push growth, programmed from its cold native habitat and short growing season to take full advantage of warming temperatures. The softly textured, light green needles change to yellow in fall, and then drop to reveal the plant’s many short stems for winter interest. Plant in light, well-drained soil in a sunny garden.
