Acer negundo - Manitoba Sensation
Manitoba maples are very durable and adaptable native trees that make good landscaping ornamentals. Leaves are trifoliate and emerge in spring coppery-red before maturing to a deep medium green. In autumn, the tree's canopy is covered in shades of red that makes the tree look ablaze. They do best in average, well-drained soils in full sun, however they tolerate drought, wet soils, pollution, clay, varied soil pH's, poor soils, urban conditions, etc. 'Sensation' was selected for its improved branching structure, tolerance to most growing conditions, and its bright fall color.
